Kyiv’s Syndicate Clothing and the artist Vova Vorotniov have come together for their second collaborative collection dedicated to Ukrainian Avantgarde of the early 20th century. Collection quotes key visual imagery (magazines’ covers, theatrical costume sketches, film poster) from East and West of Ukraine.
The “Enthusiasm” hoodie is our favorite piece, which was inspired by “Enthusiasm: The Symphony of Donbas”, the first Ukrainian sound film by Dziga Vertov.
Syndicate Clothing has played a major role in the developing street-wear culture in Ukraine. They were founded in 2010 – when few streetwear brands were produced locally. After years of experimentation and successful collections, Syndicate have drawn international publicity and praise from media like Highsnobiety and HYPEBEAST.
