Famous for its appearance in the hit television HBO miniseries Chernobyl, the Blacksmiths of Modernity mosaic was crafted by Halyna Zubchenko and Hryhorii Pryshedko in 1974. It forms part of a collection of monumental and highly expressive mosaics that once adorned the facades of research institutes across the Soviet Union.
